Returns & Refunds Policy

1. Personalized & Custom-Made Goods

In accordance with Section 20 of the South African Consumer Protection Act (CPA), the right to return goods does not apply to items that have been personalized or made to a customer’s specific specifications.

  • Final Sale: Any products ordered, specifically those involving personalization (including but not limited to sublimation items, apparel, and stationery), are non-refundable and cannot be returned or exchanged due to a "change of heart" or because the product does not meet subjective personal expectations.
  • Customer Responsibility: It is the customer's responsibility to ensure all spelling, images, and design choices are correct at the time of order. Once production begins, the order cannot be cancelled or altered.

2. Ritual Lab Products (Safety & Allergens)

Due to health, hygiene, and the nature of essential oil-based products, Ritual Lab items are non-refundable and cannot be returned once the seal is broken or the product has been used.

  • Allergy & Liability Disclaimer: All ingredients, cautions, and potential allergens are clearly listed on our website and/or product packaging.

Notice: By purchasing Ritual Lab products, the customer acknowledges that they have read the ingredient list and are aware of any personal allergies. The Ritual Lab shall not be held liable for any allergic reactions, sensitivities, or misuse of the products. We strongly recommend performing a "patch test" on a small area of skin before full use.

Safety First: This product is handcrafted using pure essential oils. Please review the ingredients tab carefully. If you have sensitive skin or known allergies, we recommend a patch test before use. If irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately. unBOXed is not responsible for adverse reactions to listed ingredients.

 

3. Gift Cards

  • Non-Refundable: All gift cards purchased through our website are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Expiry: Please note the expiry date (if any) mentioned at the time of purchase, in accordance with South African law.

4. Damages and Production Issues

While we aim for perfection, we acknowledge that errors can occur during transit or manufacturing.

  • Shipping Damage: If a product arrives broken due to shipping, or if there is a verified production defect, please notify us via email within 48 hours of delivery with photographic evidence of the item and packaging.
  • Assessment: Claims will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. If the fault is found to be a production error or transit damage, we may offer a replacement or repair at our discretion.
  • Return Shipping: Should an item need to be sent back to us for inspection or return, the cost of return shipping is for the customer’s account. Shipping costs are non-refundable.
